Externally, two grooves offer an installation advantage for the user. Alongside stability, the grooves provide better running properties as well as concentricity and centring. Less friction is also produced, which means that the extension force of the springs is immediately available. Their UV coating increases the mechanical strength of the tubes and offers resistance to chemicals and corrosion.
Internally, ACE has implemented five enhancements into the range. These include a slide bearing to reduce friction, a claimed extension of 50% to the guide, seals in each pressure cylinder, smooth running pistons with overflow channels making it easier to compress the spring without compromising the controlled extension and finally, a defined O-ring fitting that gives more controlled filling and releasing of the nitrogen gas from the cylinders, which can now be done on-site.
Newtonline gas springs are available in cylinder sizes from 15 to 40mm with strokes from 20 to 1000mm and force ranges from 40 to 5000N.
