The new laser sensors high precision and compact size makes machine integration easy!

Not only is the new OptoNCDT 1420 extremely compact in size, it offers high performance with 1 µm resolution and ≤10 µm linearity. Designed for high precision, high speed, dynamic displacement, distance and position measurements complete with a competitive pricing structure, making it suitable for both single piece and higher volume OEM applications.

The new optoNCDT 1420 laser triangulation sensor offers a unique combination of speed, compact size and performance capabilities, opening the door to a vast array of new application possibilities for displacement, distance and position measurement tasks.

Although Micro-Epsilon classes the optoNCDT 1420 as a mid-performance laser displacement sensor in our product portfolio, the actual performance and smart features exceed many high-performance sensors currently on the market.

The sensor also benefits from a competitive pricing structure, making it suitable for both single piece and higher volume OEM applications.

  • Compact, integrated controller, low in weight & high speed at 4kHz
  • ATC - Automatically compensates for non ideal surfaces, providing stable results regardless of changing surface colours or brightness
  • Smart functionality - special presets for fast configuration for different surface types (transparent, translucent & opaque)
  • Competitive pricing, making it suitable for OEM applications.

A class of its own

The worldwide unique SMART sensor concept combines an integrated web interface with a compact sensor size. No other comparable sensor on the market can match the unique combination of features that the optoNCDT 1420 offers. The excellent price/performance ratio of the optoNCDT 1420 series enables new areas of use, the sensor is ideal for a variety of medium-to-high volume applications such as automation, machine building and systems integration, particularly where conventional laser sensors have reached the limits of their performance capabilities.

The Auto Target Compensation (ATC) provides stable measurements regardless of target colour or brightness. Precision optics normally found in more expensive sensor series create sharp and small diameter spot geometries, enabling very small objects to be reliably measured.

Highest precision in a compact size

The compact size combined with low mass opens up new fields of application. For example, mounted on robot arms or in pick-and-place machines. The optoNCDT 1420 sensor is available in measuring ranges of 10mm, 25mm or 50mm.
