MiniTec has spiral conveyor for high-throughput materials handling

MiniTec has launched a new spiral conveyor for high-throughput materials handling that can not only convey products over long distances but also transport them up and down to cater for different line heights.

The MiniTec WF 3000 provides a lift height of up to 3m and has a small footprint which also serves as a storage and production buffer for conveyed items. With a conveying distance of up to 50m and a floor space requirement of around 3m2, the module transports and elevates a constant flow of materials even under full load. The device consists of a modular conveyor track of up to 15 sections with a width of 240mm. The height distance between each single section is 200mm, maintaining a low incline angle which helps to safeguard against load slippage as well as contributing to the overall compactness of the assembly. In addition, the WF 3000 has an inlet height of 800mm and an output height of 4000mm. The variable conveying speed of 5 to 50m/min is said to allow for flexible regulation during material flow considering the transport load of up to 3000N. The unit had a compact footprint of 1600 x 1600mm and an overall height of 4500mm. It has been optimised to provide extremely quiet operation and be virtually maintenance-free. MiniTec says it is also very resilient against contamination and corrosion.
