Kistler Instrumente AG based in Winterthur, Switzerland has been at the forefront of piezoelectric sensor technology since 1950 when Walter P Kistler patented a charge amplifier which made the technology a practical method for measuring physical parameters. Kistler has remained a major innovator in the application of the technology and now has subsidiaries throughout the world. This seminar is designed to provide an introduction to the practical application of piezoelectric measurement in both laboratory and industrial environments. An understanding of the technology is essential for all those responsible for designing and building instrumentation and measurement systems, especially where challenging environmental conditions may be encountered.
