Variohm unveils tilt alert switch for out of level position indication

Variohm has tilt alert switch for out of level position indication Variohm EuroSensor has expanded its range of inclinometers to include the new IS-120 single-axis tilt alert switch. The device is designed for vertical axis installation. It operates at a contact closure of <-10º and a contact release of <+10º. Aimed at heavy duty applications, the fully sealed IS-120 has an IP65 rating and is built to withstand the high levels of shock and vibration that may be found in off-road automotive or heavy industrial equipment. Potential applications include safe level position monitoring for truck bonnets, robot arms and storage vessel closures where its mercury-free construction suits contamination-safe installation. The IS-120 operates from a 48VDC supply with a 0.5A rated switching current. The unit measures approximately 42 x 15 x 28mm with simple 2-hole mounting and lead wire connection. Its operation temperature range is -40 to 125ºC.
