Festo unveils innovative new drive concept
Automation specialist Festo has unveiled SmartInversion, an innovative flying kinematic structure which utilises a smartphone app to remote control three miniature closed loop servo motors.
The helium-filled device, developed as part of the company's Bionic Learning Network, is a large 4.75m structure that can propel itself by self inversion through the air. It is based on the studies of 20th century Swiss mathematician Paul Schatz.
