Engineering Design Show a ‘resounding success’

The Engineering Design Show, held last week at Coventry's Ricoh Arena, has been described by organiser Findlay Media as a resounding success; not only in terms of the attendance, which exceeded by some way the company's target, but also in terms of the quality of the conference and workshop sessions.

Some 1,600 design engineers were gathered at the inaugural event over the two days to gain access to more than 80 market leading companies and learn about the latest technologies, techniques and strategies employed by experts at the forefront of their field. Those addressing the high quality conference and workshop sessions included representatives from some of the most illustrious names in engineering design, including Mclaren, ARM, Altium, Jaguar Land Rover, ARM, Autodesk, National Instruments and BAE Systems. "When we asked readers of New Electronics and Eureka magazines whether they would attend a design show targeted specifically at their requirements, we got an overwhelming 'yes'," commented Findlay Media's Executive Director Ed Tranter. "That enthusiastic response was matched by suppliers to the engineering design market and I'm delighted to announce the resounding success of the 2012 Engineering Design Show - which exceeded all our expectations." Planning for next year's Show is already well under way, with the 2013 Engineering Design Show tripling in size to accommodate an expanded focus on electronics and engineering materials. "The success of this year has been immense, and we believe next year can be even better," Tranter concluded. "We look forward to seeing you there!"
