igus tool promises custom cables in under three weeks

Called chainflex CC, the service allows customers to configure and order cables with a minimum length of 300m within a few minutes. While there are many tailor-made cables already available on the market, until now such cables were only available with long delivery times of up to 20 weeks, and they are often costly with minimum length orders from 1000m. With chainflex CC, igus says it can deliver short cable lengths with a variety of jackets for every application, in the fastest time possible. "At igus, we pride ourselves on making it easy for our customers to work with us and I'm delighted we can now offer affordable bespoke cables in just a few weeks," said the company's director, Justin Leonard. "We have more than 950 chainflex cables in the range to meet all customer requirements and each is intensively tested in igus' laboratory for reliability in the most arduous environments. Customers can be assured of the high quality and performance in demanding applications."
