Motorsport and Automotive Jobs Fair launched by the MIA

The MIA (Motorsport Industry Association) is launching the first Motorsport and Automotive Jobs Fair on Wednesday 9th March. The Jobs Fair aims to attract students, graduates and universities, to meet and engage with employers from the motorsport and automotive sectors.

The £9billion UK motorsport industry employs nearly 50,000 people and continues to lead the world in this highly competitive field in spite of the attention of the world’s very best engineering companies. A recent MIA Snapshot Business Survey found that 95% of respondents had between 1 and 5 ‘motorsport-related’ vacancies.

The Jobs Fair will directly link employers with university and college students who are interested in a career in the motorsport and automotive sectors. Whether the employers have current vacancies or are planning ahead, the Jobs Fair will give these businesses an insight into the calibre of students available and will assist with building new relationships both with the students and the educational institutions behind their training.

The event will take place in the Silverstone Wing at Silverstone and will provide a platform for motorsport and automotive employers to take centre stage, to promote their company brand and current job roles they have available.

MIA CEO, Chris Aylett said, “Business is growing fast in motorsport, which means there are plenty of exciting, well-rewarded jobs on offer. From engineering, through sales to administration and hospitality – good future careers are waiting. This Jobs Fair is long overdue and will deliver great success to employers and new employees”.
