Epoxy resin system features very long pot life at ambient temperatures

The Master Bond EP62-1 features a very long pot life at ambient temperatures, combined with rapid cures at moderately elevated temperatures. This is a two component epoxy resin system that also withstands aggressive chemicals and delivers high temperature resistance.

Primarily used as an adhesive, sealant and coating, Master Bond EP62-1 has an exceptionally long working life at ambient temperatures. The pot life of a 100g batch is greater than 12 hours. This two component epoxy exhibits remarkably high thermal stability with a glass transition temperature exceeding 170°C and a service temperature range from -60°F to 450°F. Also noteworthy is its outstanding chemical resistance to acids, bases, fuels, many solvents and other chemicals, even at elevated temperatures. EP62-1 features outstanding dimensional stability. This system has an excellent electrical insulation profile. It has a very forgiving 100 to 10 mix ratio by weight. In fact, it will even fully cure if a 100 to 5 mix ratio by weight is used. Mixing is convenient with colour coding, Part A is clear and Part B is dark brown in colour. EP62-1 doesn't contain any solvent or diluents. It cures rapidly at moderately elevated temperatures. For example, typical cure schedules range from 4 to 6 hours at 60-70°C, 20-40 minutes at 80-100°C or 10 minutes at 125°C. EP62-1 is invariably used in applications where a long open time is desirable and where the epoxy will be exposed to very aggressive conditions. Read more.
