New Development in LED-UV Curing Illuminates Challenging Geometries

The LED Spot 200 HP IC is the latest development from UV specialist Dr. Hönle AG, offering the missing link between narrow line and square area emitters. With a light emission window of 200 x 50mm the LED-UV curing device is optimally tailored to provide homogeneous irradiation of rectangular areas, whether in stationary or pass-through use.

The LED Spot 200 HP IC is an addition to the proven LED Spot product family. The LED-UV curing device has a light emission window of 200 x 50 mm and is optimally tailored to applications that require homogeneous irradiation of rectangular areas, whether in stationary or pass-through use. Typical areas of application are fully automatic production lines or the assembly on conveyor belts. Thanks to the possibility to arrange several devices modularly, the irradiation area can be expanded as required and flexibly tailored to a wide variety of geometries. The LED Spot 200 HP IC can be integrated very easily and inexpensively into bonding and potting processes.

Like all LED Spot products, the LED Spot 200 HP IC is available in wavelengths of 365, 385, 395, 405 and 460 nm and achieves high intensities of up to 5,000 mW/cm² for a very fast and reliable curing. Thanks to a LED failure detection and extensive monitoring functions, it ensures maximum process reliability.

All LED Spot curing devices are supplied and controlled either directly by an external power supply and the customer's PLC or by the optionally available LED powerdrive IC, which was developed with the highest priority on intuitive operation and customer friendliness.

The main areas of application for the LED Spot products are the bonding, fixing, and potting of components in the electronics, optics and medical technology industries. However, LED spots are also used for fluorescence stimulation or for high-intensity radiation in the biochemical field.
