Manufacturing Management (formerly Works Management) is pleased to announce an exciting new series of one-day Leadership Day events aimed at developing and preparing future manufacturing leaders.

Leadership Days are part of a Continuous Improvement series of events from Manufacturing Management, working alongside key partners that share its core vision of preparing leaders for the digital manufacturing age. Each Leadership Day will have a theme that promises to prepare attendees for future manufacturing challenges. Whether there is a need to improve Health & Safety records, develop predictive maintenance strategies or drive CI initiatives, there will be a Leadership Day to cover it.

Each event will be hosted at a leading UK manufacturing site and comprise of a keynote speaker, factory tour and hands-on interactive workshops. The days have been designed for senior site managers and their team leaders who are looking to prepare for the future of their industry.

Chris Beck, editor of Manufacturing Management commented, “A lot of the conversation around the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been about the need to invest in new technology, with little attention paid to the continued importance of the manufacturing workforce. The Leadership Day events will look to address that, giving practical, hands-on advice to industry leaders looking to prepare their teams for the future.”

The first Leadership Day will take place at Jaguar Land Rover, Castle Bromwich, on 20 March, and is being supported by headline partners, Kronos, Festo and Siemens.

With the discussion continuing around the future of manufacturing and the digital factory, the first Leadership Day will focus on what this could mean for your company now and how you can develop the leadership skills to implement the Smart Factory of the Future.

Delegates will have the opportunity to:

HEAR high-level keynote presentation from leading names in the industry

SEE a factory tour and learn more about the world-class advanced manufacturing techniques

DO a series of hands-on practical workshops to reinforce your learning

This is a must-attend event for anyone thinking about introducing new technology or preparing their factory and its staff for the future of manufacturing.

The JLR Leadership Day is now open for delegate bookings at: and is priced at £395pp. A group booking discount is available for groups of three or more.
