Portescap has introduced the DCT range of Athlonix Brush DC motors. The 24DCT miniature motor features a diameter size of 24mm as well as Portescap’s energy efficient coreless design with an optimised self-supporting coil and magnetic circuit which is claimed to ensure high performance.

With torque carrying capabilities reaching 14.96mNm, the 24DCT is said to provide high performance with efficiency of up to 90% while maintaining a long lifetime. The motor is suited to battery driven applications such as medical and industrial pumps, drug delivery systems, robotic systems, miniature industrial power tools, dental tools, and more. Other applications such as lab automation and humanoid robots can also use the 24DCT Athlonix motor.

Athlonix 24DCT miniature DC motors are available in two variations, precious metal commutation and graphite commutation with a Neo magnet inside. The optional REE (Restriction of Electro Erosion) coil is claimed to prolong the life of the motor.

Component standardisation and design modularity allow quick customisation for samples across various applications. Athlonix motors are compatible with encoders and gearheads of various sizes and ratios and are also available on our online motor configurator
