Engineering Design Show shortlisted for second PPA Award

The Engineering Design Show has been shortlisted for another PPA Award, just months after winning the title of 'Event of the Year' at the 2013 PPA Independent Publishers Awards.

First launched in 2012 with aim of creating an event specifically for design engineers, the Engineering Design Show has grown exponentially since its inception, attracting more than 3,000 visitors to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in 2013 – almost double the number who attended the year before. Now, thanks to organiser Findlay Media's relentless commitment to continuously improve and expand upon the success of previous years, the Engineering Design Show has been has been shortlisted in the 'Event of the Year - Business Media' category at the prestigious PPA Awards, which takes place in London on 10 July. Last year, the judges of the PPA Independent Publishers Awards described the Show as the 'stand-out winner', despite a particularly high calibre of entries. "This event has achieved incredible success from a standing start, smashing all of the targets set," they said. "The event resulted in a great number of new clients for the brand, added value for existing readers and created a sustainable event for the foreseeable future." When it returns to the Ricoh this October, the 2014 Engineering Design Show is expected to attract more than 4,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors. It will once again be co-located with the Electronics Design Show and the newly announced Embedded Design Show, offering design engineers best practise learning through a dedicated exhibition and various workshop and conference sessions. Findlay Media's executive director Ed Tranter, pictured, said: "I'm extremely pleased and proud that the Engineering Design Show has been shortlisted for a second PPA Award. It's great when all the hard work and efforts of the team behind the Show are recognised and rewarded in this way. It's a fantastic event that's enjoyed phenomenal growth in its first two years and this year's Show is set to be even bigger and better." Now open for registration, the Engineering Design Show takes place at Ricoh Arena on 22-23 October. To find out more, visit the all-new www.engineeringdesignshow.co.uk.
