Monolith’s AI technology is being used to implement customised aerodynamic maps, virtual sensors, and trackside anomaly detection to validate incoming data from the track in real time.

AI Technology Driving Race-car Setup Optimisation

Majoring on cost- and time-efficiency, PREMA Racing will use Monolith to rapidly analyse the variables affecting race-car set-up – from track characteristics and weather conditions to driving style. The agreement will also see Monolith sponsor PREMA Racing’s teams in the FIA Formula 2 Championship and FIA Formula 3 Championship, effective immediately.

Monolith’s Motorsport Achievements and Future Plans

Monolith’s new partnership represents the latest project in top-flight motorsport, with the business also delivering on-track performance gains in the Hyperclass of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA.

Monolith’s machine learning platform is set to drive smart and highly efficient on-track performance gains for the organisation’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES squad, effective immediately for the ongoing season, starting with the Indianapolis 500.

The business’ proprietary AI technology will produce bespoke models for the PREMA Racing engineering team, enabling it to use new, highly efficient channels for unlocking on-track performance with smart race-car setup optimisation.

Innovative AI Tools in Motorsport

PREMA Racing’s engineering teams will utilise Monolith to implement customised aerodynamic maps and virtual sensors, with trackside anomaly detection validating data as it’s gathered on the circuit.

The intelligent suite of Monolith machine learning solutions will provide highly time-efficient support for rapidly analysing the challenging variables affecting race car set-up – from track characteristics and weather conditions to driving style.

Guillaume Capietto, Technical Director, PREMA Racing, said: “It's no secret that AI is the new frontier and finding new ways to apply it to enhance performance will be the key to motorsports success in the future. Having Monolith by our side is invaluable. They already have incredible expertise and know-how. With research and the real-world racing experience and expertise that we can provide, the potential is incredibly high."

Monolith’s new partnership with PREMA Racing represents the latest in Monolith’s top-flight motorsport projects, as the business continues to support the highly successful JOTA Sport outfit in driving on-track performance in the competitive Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA.

Expanding Motorsport Collaborations and Sponsorship

PREMA Racing and Monolith will build on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES partnership in further world-class motorsport categories, with Monolith also sponsoring the organisation’s FIA Formula 2 Championship and FIA Formula 3 Championship outfits, effective immediately.

Sam Emeny-Smith, Head of Automotive and Motorsport at Monolith, said: “Machine learning is a prime solution for helping race teams find meaningful performance gains while reducing the need for physical testing. The NTT INDYCAR SERIES represents a championship where incremental, marginal gains in setup optimisation make all the difference in securing on-track success – gains that Monolith has continually earned for its partners in the world of motorsport. Our cutting-edge AI platform will now help PREMA Racing unlock those time- and cost-efficient enhancements, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together moving forward.”

Monolith’s AI Platform and Engineering Innovations

Monolith is democratising AI for engineering, with its objective to cut engineers’ product development cycle in half by 2026. Its bespoke SaaS platform uses no-code, machine-learning software, giving domain experts the power to leverage existing, valuable testing datasets for their product development.

The platform analyses and learns from this information, using it to generate accurate, reliable predictions that enable engineering teams to reduce costly, time-intensive prototype testing programmes.

Integrating highly effective innovations such as the ‘Next Test Recommender’ to ol and the industry’s first AI-powered ‘Anomaly Detector’ functionality, Monolith provides engineers with intelligent solutions to develop higher-quality products in half the time.
