Gripping solutions

A hand clamp is able to grip hard with a 500N holding force, because it combines both screw and wedge actions

. The Igus DryLin TWBM hand clamp is designed to work with the company’s DryLin T linear guides. It uses brass clamping elements and is available for size 25 slides. Applications are seen in handling, assembly, tooling machines and machining centres. The handle is removable. Igus has also recognised that plastic tabs with living hinges are key to removable and replaceable bars in a range of flexible chains to protect cables and hoses in moving machinery. Its E 4.1 Quicklok has a tongue at each end. Insertion of a screwdriver under a tab causes the tongue to be withdrawn, and pressing the tab down pushes the tongue out and securely locks the bar in place. Using this mechanism, it is easy to add to, or replace, cables and or hoses, without having to remove the chain. All existing Igus E4.1 E-Chains can be equipped with this cross bar. The chains may be used in horizontal, vertically hanging, standing, side-mount or gliding applications. Inner heights are from 21mm to 204mm, and inner widths from 30mm to 600mm.
