NEW ContiTech FO Pioneer belt at Drives & Controls 2016

TransDev presented a number of new timing belt products for the first time at the 2016 Drives & Controls Show at the NEC in April. The stand helped us launch the refreshed TransDev brand to a wide audience of customers, prospects, the media, suppliers and partners. Feedback on the stand was overwhelmingly positive as we showcased all areas of the TransDev business.

A range of special belts were produced just for the show. These illustrated the specialist expertise that enables us to produce belts within a micron of pitch accuracy and for the most demanding of applications.

TransDev represents some of the major brands in power transmission and conveying. In our role as an authorised UK and Ireland distributor, we were delighted to showcase a new product from our partners ContiTech®.

NEW CONTI-V® FO Pioneer Timing Belt

Raw-edge V-belt from ContiTech: more power, longer service life.

  • Raw-edge V-belt on basis of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM)
  • FO Pioneer provides improved product properties compared to the FO Advance

ContiTech Power Transmission Group has launched a high performance raw-edge V-belt for drive solutions in machine and plant engineering. The FO Pioneer from ContiTech is a high performance raw-edge V-belt for drive solutions in machine and plant engineering.

Compared to the FO Advance, the FO Pioneer offers up to 20 percent more power transmission and longer service life – a development that demonstrates the extensive material expertise of the specialist in rubber and plastics technology.

The raw-edge drive belt is oriented towards the needs of the industry. It owes its improved product properties to its base material ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber. EPDM is dynamically more stable than standard rubber compounds and has a higher temperature resistance, ranging from -40 °C to + 120 °C

A sub-construction made of EPDM forms the basis, a tensile member made of polyester and a cotton cover provide more stability. The new belt is resistant to dust and tropical conditions, it is also conductive according to ISO 1813 as well as partially oil resistant. FO Pioneer replaces the FO Advance in dimensions up to 2,932 mm.
