Next big idea could win somebody £100,000

A new competition intends to unearth the next great British invention and reward the inventor.

A competition called, "The Next Big Idea" is to scour the nation of ours in an attempt to unearth the next great British invention. Through a series of regional heats, the organisers will invite the nation’s innovators to demonstrate their ingenious inventions and ideas to a panel of experts with a proven track record in inventing, business, and marketing. As the field gets whittled down to the cream of the creative crop, the public will then get to vote on which big idea they think is the biggest and best of all. Each idea and invention will be put through rigorous tests until finally one lucky inventor will win £100,000 worth of support and funding to turn their dream idea into a business reality. The job of the panel will not only be to select the individual inventions they think show the best potential but also to advise on how to get the best from the inventor’s creative juices. They will use the wealth of knowledge they’ve gained from their own experience of how to start-up successful businesses to show the inventors how to get their idea to market, how to sell it to the public, and ultimately how to be a successful entrepreneur. So if you think you've come up with the best thing since sliced bread, and want to win the chance to see your idea turned into a business reality, we suggest you contact the 'Next Big Idea' team on 01273 224800 or email them at thenextbigidea@ricochet.co.uk The regional heats are set to take place in Manchester on the weekend of the 26th & 27th August and also in London on the 9th & 10th September.
