Simulating building physics

Webinar

Contemporary urban and rural architecture and building design emphasise environmental and efficiency factors of structures, in addition to aesthetic and practical facets of the developments.

In this webinar we will discuss the role of multiphysics simulation in assisting the modern building design process. We will focus on the interaction of buildings with their surroundings and look at how modelling can help improve performance in this area.

Topics covered will include the modelling of: air flow, moisture and heat transport, structures, solar illumination, and acoustic properties. We will also discuss the features of COMSOL Multiphysics that enable efficient integration with other CAD tools used in the architecture and building design industry. The webinar will feature a live demonstration where we create a model of sound distribution in a family house. We will conclude with a Q&A session.
